SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
(Read this carefully. Or don’t. But if you don’t, don’t act shocked when we say no)Welcome to Wildflower (Anyways)
If you’re here, it means you have something to say or show or fracture beautifully across a page, screen, or frame. We like that.
What We’re Looking For (Long story short)
Unpublished work that hits.
Language with teeth. Images that stare back. Art that resists explanation.
What You Can Submit

The Rules (Break Them Elsewhere)
No reprints. Previously unpublished work only.
If it’s been posted anywhere: public, blog, Instagram caption, Medium, Substack, your website, that Google Doc you shared with "everyone" it’s already lived a life. We want first blood.
No AI-generated work.
Really do we even need to talk about this?
Word limits:
• Fiction / CNF: 3,000-5,000 words
• Flash: up to 1,000-2,000 words
• Poetry: 1 poem per submission
But yeah we are not that rigid. So just don’t start counting words manually.
One submission at a time.
Patience is part of the process.
Simultaneous submissions are allowed.
Just tell us if someone else accepts your work first. Don’t ghost.
What We Want
- Language doing real work
- Art that changes something, even slightly
- You…
What We Don’t Care For
- Fan fiction (no borrowed worlds, no borrowed gods)
- Lazy fairy-tale or myth retellings
- Pretty writing that goes nowhere
Dark themes are fine. Like really.
Diversity (Obviously)
Yes to all identities. Yes to all bodies. Yes to all borders. If your work makes the room bigger, we want it.
